We ran our foundational machine course with 16 participants over spring. Each person completed their first projects—a pillowcase, tote bag, and simple drawstring pants. Most continued to our intermediate level.

Upcycling Series — From Worn to Wanted
A three-part workshop in Ventspils focusing on repairing jeans, repurposing old shirts into pillowcases, and transforming faded dresses. Twelve participants transformed 24 garments they'd planned to discard.
Linen Workshop with Local Audēji Weavers
We partnered directly with a weaver collective to source authentic Latvian linen and host a hands-on session. Participants learned fabric history, quality assessment, and created table runners and kitchen linens using traditional techniques.
Monthly Sewing Circles — Rīga & Ventspils
We host informal monthly meetups where crafters bring their projects, share techniques, and troubleshoot together. Over 40 regular participants now meet to stay connected with the local sewing community.
